About Ken Miller Media

A Northern Indiana web design studio built on real results, honest work, and a passion for helping small businesses win online.

Turning Local Businesses into Online Leaders

Ken Miller Media began with one simple idea — that a local business should have a professional online presence without needing a big-city agency or a huge marketing budget.
Based in Northern Indiana, I’ve seen firsthand how many great small businesses struggle to get noticed online, even though they deliver top-tier work.
My goal is to change that by combining real-world business experience, smart SEO structure, and beautiful design into websites that bring in customers.

A Builder at Heart — From Soft Wash Rigs to Websites

Before building websites, I was building systems — literally. As the owner of Miller Soft Wash,
I learned how to create a business from the ground up. I started with a truck, a few hoses, and a dream to bring professional exterior cleaning to Northern Indiana.
Along the way, I discovered that having the best equipment and service wasn’t enough — I needed a digital presence that matched the quality of my work.

That’s when I fell in love with web design and SEO. I built the Miller Soft Wash website myself, tested it, optimized it, and watched it climb the Google rankings.
Soon it wasn’t just bringing in a few jobs — it was consistently generating leads from towns I hadn’t even advertised in yet.
It became proof that the right website, paired with the right structure, can completely transform a business.

From there, I began creating websites for other local business owners — plumbers, fabricators, equipment repair shops, gutter installers — and each one told a unique story.
What they all shared was the need for honest online representation and a system that brought steady, reliable customers.
Ken Miller Media grew naturally out of that mission.

Our Values and Approach

Everything I build is rooted in three guiding principles: clarity, honesty, and performance.
These values show up in the way I design, the way I communicate with clients, and the way I test every site before launch.
There are no hidden fees, no confusing jargon, and no outsourced templates.
Every layout, word, and color choice is made for your audience and your business goals.

I don’t chase trends. I focus on what works — fast loading times, clean code, and strong SEO foundations.
A great website isn’t just something pretty to look at; it’s a tool that should work hard for you every day, bringing calls, forms, and conversions.

My process starts by learning your business: what you do, who you serve, and what makes you unique.
From there, I map your content into a structure Google understands — what SEO experts call a “content silo.”
This layout connects your homepage, services, and location pages in a way that boosts rankings and helps customers find you quickly.
It’s the same strategy that’s helped Miller Soft Wash rank across more than 30 Northern Indiana cities.

Websites Built with Real-World Experience

Every website I create at Ken Miller Media has a story behind it.
For Plumbing Pro’s LLC,
I developed a clean, service-based site that organized each plumbing service into structured pages,
helping the business show up on Google for multiple towns within Elkhart County.

For KenMar Fab,
I designed a simple, fast-loading product site that highlights their foldable, portable fire pits.
The focus was on user experience — clear pricing, crisp photos, and a mobile-friendly layout that’s easy to navigate.
It’s proof that small manufacturing and fabrication businesses can compete online with national brands when the design tells their story right.

Then there’s Miller Power LLC,
a repair and equipment company that needed a site to showcase their pressure washers without selling them online.
By designing it around trust and clarity, I helped them build credibility while keeping the focus on local service and contact.

Each project reinforces a belief I hold strongly: a website should reflect the character of the people behind it.
Whether you’re running a workshop, a farm, or a fleet of trucks, your online presence should feel as genuine as the work you do every day.

Rooted in Northern Indiana Values

I was born and raised in Indiana and built my businesses on the same principles most of my clients live by —
faith, family, and hard work. My wife Marla and I are raising our three daughters here, and we love being part of a community
where neighbors still help neighbors and reputation means everything. That sense of community drives how I design websites.
When your business grows, so does your town.

I work closely with other small-town owners who share that mindset. Many of them don’t just want “a website” —
they want something that reflects who they are and what they stand for.
Whether it’s a plumber who takes pride in every job or a fabricator who loves the craft,
I make sure the design feels authentic and grounded, not corporate or artificial.

Because of that, Ken Miller Media isn’t just a “design company.”
It’s a partnership between local businesses and digital strategy — bridging the gap between real-world hard work and online success.

Why Our Approach Works

What makes Ken Miller Media different from other website builders isn’t just design skill — it’s understanding what makes people buy.
I know how homeowners in Goshen or Warsaw search for roof washing, or how a small shop in Middlebury can stand out among bigger names.
I design every site for real search behavior, not just looks.

Every build is performance-driven. I optimize code, compress images, and tune layouts to load in under two seconds.
Then I implement schema markup, local SEO tags, and structured internal linking —
the same systems I use on my own businesses that already rank at the top of Google’s local results.

I also believe in education. I explain what I’m doing, show results through analytics, and teach you how to update your site when needed.
You’ll never be left wondering what’s happening behind the curtain.

The internet moves fast, but local trust lasts.
My mission is to help small businesses stay ahead of the curve while keeping their integrity intact.
